Christian Dior’s gardens were a longstanding inspiration for his collections, for which he mined floral motifs in myriad ways, even sewing lily of the valley into the hems of some of his dresses. Now three of his favorite flowers—lily of the valley, rose, and jasmine—are purely embodied in Les Récoltes Majeures.

For this trio of astonishing scents, Parfums Christian Dior’s perfume creation director, Francis Kurkdjian, conjures exactly what the couturier would have smelled when the blossoms on the grounds of his château in the south of France were at their best. Based on a 1956 sketch by Dior, the bottles are works of art executed by atelier Maison Vermont with an opulent mix of fabrics, beading, and embroidery. Each released in a limited edition of 200, these fragrances will debut one at a time over the next few months. Just like a garden, there’s a promise of more to unfold in coming seasons as well.
