Bal Harbour Shops Celebrates 60 Glamorous Years in Miami
Highlights of the evening included live performances by Chaka Khan and Gipsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes
On Wednesday evening, Miami’s Bal Harbour Shops invited guests to celebrate 60 glamorous years of high-end retail, fine dining, and gorgeous scenery. Guests in black-tie attire explored the multi-level mall’s tropical landscape, accented by the magnificent koi ponds with turtles and lush greenery, while perusing the exquisite shops and interactive installations by Balmain, Yafa Signed Jewels, and Braman Miami. The highlights of the evening included live performances by Chaka Khan and Gipsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes.
DJ Isaac Likes kept guests entertained while they sipped Pommery Brut Royale and signature Cosmopolitan and Espresso Martini cocktails from Southern Wine & Spirits, and dined on bites from beloved Bal Harbour favorites, including Makoto and Carpaccio. Avenue 31 Café and a gelato cart gave the evening a sweet finishing touch. A short film starring model KarolÃna Kurková and Arthur Kulkov titled, An Affair to Remember, also paid tribute to Bal Harbour Shops’s lasting legacy.
And although the affair was a celebration of the first all-luxury fashion center in America and its storied history, it also offered glimpses of what’s still to come at the storied location, such as the highly anticipated opening of China Grill and Slim. There are also plans to add dozens of new luxury and experiential brands, as well as expand several existing stores to enhance the shopper experience in the near future.
