Ryan Waddoups

Ryan Waddoups is the Deputy Editor, Design at Galerie, where he writes, commissions, and edits stories on design, architecture, interiors, and the art of living. He has profiled leading figures including Mark Grattan, Gaetano Pesce, Suzanne Demisch, Andrew Torrey, Ryan Korban, Alfredo Paredes, Fernando Mastrangelo, and Ivy Ross; reported from global events such as Milan Design Week and Art Basel; and produced features exploring design’s intersections with art, craftsmanship, and material innovation. His work has been shortlisted for Excellence in Creative Journalism at the Créateurs Design Awards. Based in Brooklyn, he began his career as a digital editor at Interior Design and served as Senior Editor at Surface, where he oversaw the daily Design Dispatch newsletter.
