What started as an online platform showcasing collectible Mexican design has bloomed into a permanent gallery in Austin, Texas. Open by appointment, Omet packs 2,500 square feet with statement-making furnishings and objects. “I think it’s important to have a physical space where people can see, feel, and experience the pieces,” says Lorena Vieyra, the Mexico City–based architect and founder. Vieyra works directly with top artisans, among them furniture designer Simon Hamui and ceramist Lili Cortina, who all share a passion for storytelling through traditional techniques and time-honored materials.

Below, take a look inside the space.
