Artful Escapes: SLS Barcelona

The five-star property in Spain is the first location in Europe for the hotel group

The first location in Europe for this hotel group, the five-star SLS Barcelona opened in April in the waterfront Port Fòrum district. Ennismore’s AIME Studios, AvroKO, and Rockwell Group collaborated on the project, whose zigzagging structure creates spaces for three swimming pools. Communal areas are awash with signature SLS flamboyance—dappled metal behind the reception desks, a tunnel illuminated in neon pink—while 471 guest rooms blend cozy and contemporary vibes with tonal colors bolstered by silver and marble accents.

The property introduces six restaurants and bars, including the Mediterranean-influenced Lora and Bar L’Anxova Divina, which honors local tapas culture.
