Artful Escapes: Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay
With lavish interiors orchestrated by London studio Muza Lab, the hotel encapsulates 55 suites and villas and four restaurants, all boasting exceptional decorative details

While Royal Mansour’s regal property in Marrakech has been a beacon of Moroccan splendor for the past 15 years, the group’s newest location, in Tamuda Bay, occupies an under-the-radar stretch of the country’s golden coast along the Alboran Sea. Here, sandy beaches, turquoise water, and sunny skies are met with a heady mix of exemplary design details produced by skilled regional artisans, world-class golf, and 25 acres of gardens. With lavish interiors orchestrated by London studio Muza Lab, the hotel encapsulates 55 suites and villas and four restaurants, all boasting exceptional decorative details like marble mosaics, zellige tiles, and works by rising-star artists and artisans.
In March, the resort opened its 46,000-square-foot Medi-Spa, the futuristic wellness center wrapped in a breathtaking shell of classic Moroccan high style. Guests can unwind in the traditional hammams, saunas, steam rooms, Himalayan salt cave, and hydrotherapy pools, or undergo one of the destination’s bespoke multiday health itineraries curated around sleep, fitness, nutrition, and more. The immersive programs, led by French integrative medicine specialist Denis Lamboley, M.D., combine Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine and cutting-edge technology with holistic activities such as yoga or Reiki.
