After graduating from a contemporary jewelry school in Paris, Alix Dumas landed a dream apprenticeship at a high-jewelry workshop where she learned how to craft bijoux by hand from start to finish with savoir faire. Now, with Maison Alix Dumas, which she launched three years ago, she creates unique works using the same traditional techniques and attention to detail combined with her own poetic vision.

Her sculptural designs exude a sense of movement. “My pieces are contemporary in their volume and the way they engage with the body in a sensual way,” Dumas says. “Everything I see is material to bring touch and texture to a piece. I store all these impressions, and at some point, they will crystallize into an idea, and the idea will take its shape through my hands.”
