If there’s one word that defines this Collectors Issue, it’s passion. That sentiment is the driving force that runs through each and every story. On our cover, collector Jennifer Gilbert embraces Galerie’s Live Artfully philosophy by not only designing her own art-filled home in Palm Beach, Florida, but also nurturing the next generation of talents through her philanthropic work.

Our special portfolio “The Collectors” carries that same fervent excitement. Here, we spotlight 16 fascinating personalities who share their eclectic pursuits, acquiring a range of treasures such as antique botanical watercolors, rare watches, ceramics, and vibrantly remastered chairs. Additionally, we feature some contemporary debuts that are worthy of sparking a frenzy among savvy connoisseurs, including Dior’s latest high-jewelry collection.

We also step inside the Brooklyn studio of wunderkind artist Adam Pendleton, whose solo exhibition at Amsterdam’s Stedelijk Museum opens in October, a rigorously minimalist space that allows his imagination to soar. “My work is so invested in the sustained act of looking, and that’s what I get to do here,” he says. And more than anything, this entire edition is one delicious invitation to take a closer look.
