Akris Presents a Spring Collection Inspired by Leon Polk Smith
For his latest collection, creative director Albert Kriemler channeled the visionary minimalist painter
For his spring 2026 collection for Akris, creative director Albert Kriemler turned to visionary minimalist painter Leon Polk Smith, whose striking geometric artworks helped define the hard-edge style of the 1950s and ’60s. A trapezoidal Anouk clutch—a signature shape for the house inspired by a Tatiana Bilbao–designed building—is realized in the artist’s vibrant palette of lapis blue, orange, and yellow in a masterful exploration of form, color, and line.
