Discover the Wild and Whimsical Jewelry of Sara Beltrán
Her enchanting gallery in New York also showcases decorative home accents crafted in India, Morocco, and Mexico
In the hands of Sara Beltrán, crystal quartz is magically carved into coral-branch necklaces and fashioned into turtle-shaped pendants. “Everything I create is inspired by my love and respect for the ocean,” says Beltrán, who launched her jewelry line, Dezso by Sara Beltrán, in 2006.
Her pieces are displayed in an enchanting gallery she opened in New York last year to showcase her work as well as the decorative home accents she has made in India, Morocco, and Mexico or finds during her travels. “The gallery is an extension of how I live and who I am,” says Beltrán, who recently spent a few weeks in Jaipur, sitting alongside the gem carvers who shaped her new jewelry designs. “I come with sketches and ideas, but once the stones are in the hands of the carvers, the pieces come to life.”
