Spectacular Soho Duplex Crafted by Ken Fulk Lists for $15 Million
Spread across 6,000 square feet, the five-bedroom apartment is filled with glossy finishes, bold pops of color, and eye-catching patterns
One glimpse at the interiors of this sprawling Manhattan duplex, and it’s clear that designer extraordinaire Ken Fulk—who was named one of Galerie’s 2019 Creative Minds—had something to do with it. Now on the market for just under $18 million, the lavish Soho apartment encompasses 6,000 square feet and is brimming with glossy finishes, bold pops of color, and eye-catching patterns that recall Fulk’s work at high-end restaurants such as Sadelle’s, Carbone, and Legacy Records. (The acclaimed designer and event planner, who oversees offices in New York and San Francisco, also recently unveiled a debonaire caviar pop-up in Yountville, California.)
Perched in a prewar Beaux-Arts building at 151 Wooster Street, the five-bedroom dwelling retains historic elements including barrel-vaulted brick ceilings but also comes with sleek design choices such as checker-board flooring, lacquered turquoise walls, and opulent lighting fixtures. Glamorous bathrooms and bedrooms are sheathed in kicky wallpaper and feature unexpected colors—ruby-grapefruit tile, for instance—while the kitchen’s baby-blue cabinetry perfectly complements a velvety green banquette. Fulk himself describes the five-bedroom pad as “part city townhouse and part country manor house.”
Anchoring the unit is an ultra-glamorous staircase with brass balusters that links the lower level—with three bedrooms and the eat-in kitchen—to the more urbane upper level, which contains formal living and dining areas, including a marble-swathed buffet. All in all, the place is one of Fulk’s most spectacular creations.
The apartment is listed at $14.99 million with Douglas Elliman’s Tal Alexander, Marc Riedel, Oren Alexander, and Jared Schwadron. See more photos below.
