3. Auberge du Soleil, Napa Valley

Nestled amongst a 33-acre olive grove, the picturesque adults-only hotel in wine country features the freestanding two-bedroom Private Maison, which includes 1,800 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space in a harmonious blend of French style with rustic California vibes. The balmy Florida enclave of Palm Beach is having a major resurgence as New Yorkers are looking to escape the cold. This past fall, the White Elephant Palm Beach opened with a delightful 32-room design by architects Elkus Manfredi, which beautifully integrates the traditional Spanish Colonial style of South Florida with whimsical touches like bronze elephant door knockers and boldly patterned furnishings. 5. Caldera House, Jackson Hole, Wyoming

This four bedroom suite at the Caldera House hideaway is located at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain resort in Wyoming. Thoughtfully decorated by U.S. design collective Commune to evoke “the golden age of Alpine skiing,” it nods to the famous resorts like the Casa de Sole by Carlo Mollino and the Meribel by Charlotte Perriand. A large open-format kitchen can be fully pre-stocked before arrival, and there is also a spacious dining room, home theater, patios with fire pits, soaking tubs, and even a private mud room.

6. Le Carl Gustaf, St. Barth’s

The latest edition to the jewel of the French West Indies is the Hotel Barrière Le Carl Gustaf, a dramatic transformation of one of St Barth’s legendary hotels. The five-bedroom 4,300 square-foot Villa Diane overlooks the bustling Gustavia Bay and has a private path to Shell Beach, a local favorite. With five bedrooms, including two primary suites, plus six baths, a formal dining room, and a pair of wet bars, the two level Grand Penthouse was masterfully designed by Jacques Grange.
