This year’s Photo Basel, a satellite fair of the esteemed Art Basel, takes place from June 14 through 18. Some 34 galleries from five continents, selected by a panel of experts, will gather in Volkshaus Basel, a compound renovated by the Swiss architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron. The first fair in Switzerland dedicated entirely to the medium, Photo Basel celebrates the art form and offers insight into the scope of creative talents—from documentarians to fashion photographers.
Here, Galerie associate photo editor Stefanie Li shares her picks before the opening.
