For $30,000 a Month, You Could Be Queen Elizabeth’s Neighbor
A unit at 50 UN Plaza, just a floor below Queen Elizabeth's New York apartment, is up for rent
A 17th-floor apartment at 50 United Nations Plaza in New York has listed as $30,000-a-month furnished rental, and it comes with quite a perk—its one floor below Queen Elizabeth’s Manhattan residence.
The Queen bought her 3,000-square-foot home in 2015 for $7.9 million. The listing for the apartment at the time of the sale boasted about the amount of entertaining space in the unit, with a large foyer, 15-foot-long living and dining area, as well as a high-end kitchen with a Foster+Partners–designed island, white lacquer Poliform cabinetry, and granite countertops. The building was designed by Norman Foster, who was knighted by the Queen in 1990.

The former tenant of the newly listed apartment below her Majesty’s digs is Italian entrepreneur Silvio Scaglia, who owns Elite Model Management and La Perla.
Like the Queen’s apartment, the 17th-floor unit is 3,000 square feet and includes three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering unobstructed river views.
The home is Jessica C. Campbell and Wendy Jackson of Nest Seekers.
