1. Chef Cedric Vongerichten Brings the Flavors of the Far East Out East

Nothing tastes better on a hot summer day than the flavors of Southeast Asia. Knowing that unbeatable combination, Cedric and Ochi Vongerichten, the couple behind New York foodie favorites Wayan and Ma, have launched a pop-up version of their restaurants at Buttero in East Hampton. The Indonesian-influenced menu tuna tartare with sambal hijau vinaigrette and puffed rice, heirloom tomatoes with sambal oelek vinaigrette, plus two of their most beloved dishes crab fried rice with green chili, garlic, and cilantro and crispy ribs with soy tamarind glaze. Naturally, the drinks menu adds even more opportunities to cool off with a must-try Calamansi Fizz crafted with dry gin. —Jacqueline Terrebonne

2. Vincent Van Duysen Releases New Collection with Zara Home

Celebrated architectural designer Vincent Van Duysen crafts a multitude of unique collections for myriad brands, however, all embody his meticulously curated vision, offering concentrated forms and eye-catching materials with little extraneous ornamentation. New this month is Van Duysen’s third installment of furnishings for equally tailored fashion brand Zara. Whereas the earlier installments focused on either the living or dining room, Zara Home+ by Vincent Van Duysen | Collection 03 incorporates exquisite pieces for a multitude of spaces. Drawing from the Belgian architect’s archives and personal collection, the latest designs reinterpret class styles with a fresh perspective. “As an epicurean who appreciates art and beauty, my approach is to introduce a new dimension, a more sensitive one,” said Van Duysen, whose latest array for Zara Home includes a leather and stained-oak chaise influenced by a similar style in his former Antwerp home, a graceful desk with a sleek silhouette made from blonde wood and Campaspero stone, and an earthy, textural kilim rug. Those truly enchanted by Van Duysen’s vision can also discover a special edition box set with Zara Home that includes his new Rizzoli monograph, Vincent Van Duysen: Private, as well as a volume about his dogs and a third book that offers the first published book of the architect’s own photography.—Jill Sieracki

4. Veuve Clicquot Celebrates the Sun in a New Exhibition with Magnum Photos

The sun has long symbolized eternal joy and optimism. This season, celebrated champagne house Veuve Clicquot—known for its iconic yellow brand colors–is paying homage to the fiery planet with a new exhibition, “Emotions of the Sun,” featuring eight talents represented by Magnum, the historic photo agency founded by Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson in 1947. For the show, the house gave carte blanche to photographers Steve McCurry, Alex Webb, Trent Parke, Olivia Arthur, Lindokuhle Sobekwa, Cristina de Middel, Nanna Heitmann, and Newsha Tavakolian, who worked simultaneously to deliver 40 new photographs, which are on display now through June 23, at 216 Lafayette in SoHo. “We are delighted to work with eight internationally renowned Magnum photographers, the lifeblood of that most renowned, photographic institution,” says Jean-Marc Gallot, President of Maison Veuve Clicquot. “The exhibition confirms Veuve Clicquot’s deep-rooted commitment to culture and transmits our message of optimism to the world at large.” —Lucy Rees
